Just had an email from Raskelf saying they are offering 20% off duvalays until the 15th Jan in case anyone is thinking of getting one!

We love ours and it makes making up the bed much easier.......plus we both say we sleep better in these than at home!

Does anyone use these instead of Sims on a campbed in a tent?

Taken a step into the unknown with a full blown caravan. Done the towing course and packed him up. Now to the Weigh Bridge, before going on my first actual trip!

Cant see why not but you could probably make something similar sewing together two old quilt covers down one edge and slipping some foam into the bottom one and your quilt into the top for a lot less money.

Had a look at Raskelf site, very tempted but it's not clear (to me!) if the duvet is included.

Yes the duvet does come with it. We have the 4cm summer weight, with pillow & free bag. (No pillowcase comes with it even though it is shown in the film.)

Another stupid question- how easy are they to roll up?

Husband pointed out we only have a little caravan & I got caught out with a Coleman sleeping bag once. It was a perfect size when it arrived all packed up but took both of us to wrestle the beast back into it's bag which seemed to shrink each time!

Yes, I do and it is the perfect combination!

I have the 4cm winter Duvalay which is lovely and warm.

My caravan is tiny and I can actually roll it up quicker than I can put a sleeping bag into its stuff sack.

Very easy to roll up once you have done it a few times. They come with two large elastic straps that go around it once rolled up to stop them springing back open! They aren't the smallest but will just about fit under the front seats in our ranger or we can get both in the bathroom cupboard. I would also recommend the storage bag that they do as this keeps them clean when packed away.

I know a few people who have done exactly that! Using a king size duvet cover, a seam down the middle, single foam topper in one half, single duvet in the other. I was going to go down the same route myself, but wondered if they would be storable in my diddy van. So I have memory foam toppers on the beds (which stay there all the time under throws, so you can just sit on them all day), and sleeping bags for night time - zipped up if its cold, and used as duvets unzipped if it's warm.

Our homemade double "duvalay" is used on top of our sims on the double campbed.

Wouldn't sleep on anything else now!
