We started camping again last summer after a 15 yr break so we're still building up our gear. January sales have proved to be brilliant for snagging a few bargains but the best one has to be the Regatta Folding Camping Dining Table which is currently half price at Argos - the wife was always complaining that she doesn't have enough "kitchen" space in the tent. She spotted this and "had to have it" {rolls eyes, cos she doesn't appear to know the difference between need and want}
Original price is £49.99 but its currently £24.99 in the sale. Have to say, the girl did good! Its an inch short of 6 foot long and a good width and as sturdy as any other folding table we've looked at. Comes in its own carry bag and it easy to assemble. IT IS BIG!!!!! Seats up to 8 people comfortably and the sides fold down to make it smaller if you want. She's more than happy with it so if you have the room in your tent I'd definitely recommend it.
Love to know how stable this is on (say) grassy ground ... please let me know when you have tried it out.
We've been through several tables ... last summer ... finally cracked it ... we think!
Got an italina designed garden furniture plastic table with removable legs ... it's very sturdy ... the big test for me is always to be able to cut a crusty french loaf on the table when it is loaded with full wine glasses!
got to say I'm not impressed with the table and will be taking it back. Its too big for us and I dont like the fact the sides only fold down to an angle. Also dont feel its very sturdy and its very heavy.

We use a roll top rather like THIS and find it really good. It's not the cheapest table, but its fairly light (in comparision) and if folds down into an oblong bag (rather like a lrge version of those cheaep fold up green chairs that come around from time to time. The table is very stable, but I'm not sure if it would pass the other person's wine test. I can recall ever putting a full glass of wine down on a table!!

Mine isn't exactly the same as the one I posted - it's more like the one in your link marshy, but it's an extra, extra large size. Mine is made was by Wynnster and has an adjustable leg, but I don't think they do them any more.
Jacksons is a brilliant place, IMHO. I've been using them for years and know many of the staff. 2010 was a bad year for them as they lost the store because of a fire. They've come back fighting though. You've reminded me, I ought to go down and see them - haven't been down for a bit. .....but can I afford it!!
Picked mine up last weekend and I will not be taking it back
Yes, it is huge, but that means we can fit all sorts on it,( wine,french bread and cheeses) and when we go away with friends we can all fit round it too.
I love the bag it comes in, as it makes it easier to pack and sort.
