Hi everyone, I bought a Bear Lake 6 last year together with a front extension, on several pics of the same tent I have noticed some people have ground sheets in the front extension part, does anyone know what is the best thing to use and where to buy it from?!
Many thanks
Jerry...
------------- With true friends, even water drunk together is sweet enough!
We had the front Extension for the Montana 6 just used a small tarp from Aldi they should have them in soon they come in 2 sizes and 3 colours silver, blue and green, the large size is spot on for using as a footprint by the way!
------------- I Think Therefore I Am I Think? eh? If all is not lost where is it?
You will find that many sites now request breathable ground sheets to be used where there is no fixed ground sheet. In which case I would suggest you try any of the general breathables used by caravanners in their awnings.

We always used a piece of Isabella bolon (seconds quality)breathable groundsheet for the porch in our tents. It creates a good clean area and isn't so hard on the grass as a solid groundsheet, also lets the water through if it rains in a bit, so no puddles.
I guess it depends on how big the porch is and how much room you have to transport stuff (the bolon folds down really, really small), but Val Barley posted some pics with some big rubber stable mats in the porch of her Cabanon Barbados and I have to admit we tried some in ours and it made a great difference because the area stayed clean even when it was wet and muddy. Bulky to transport, though, especially if you need a few.
