Have you had a look at the carp fishing bed/chairs - some people on here would recommend them as they are padded and a bit wider than your usual airbed. The problem I found with an airbed was that I could feel the metal frame underneath and it would wake me up. I believe thats not a problem with the fishing bed/chairs.
Space might be an issue though, they are not compact.

an aerobed would work for you both. Cant remember exact weight limit but a quick google should find the answer. They arent cheap but well worth the money imho. We have a kingsize one that we used when we had the tent and now use it for guests in the spare room and daughters sleepovers. Never goes down (ie loses air), very comftable (we tried several other airbeds first). They inflate in about a minute and they same to deflate. Electric pump is included and an oversized bag so no struggling to get back in the bag. Ours came with a fitted sheet too.

Pity this is one of those things. Just last year in October we handed over to our son who does not use it much for his fishing,
Here is one that takes up to 35 stone

Me im selling my TF Gear Comfort Zone Kingsize takes up to 30st and approx 94cm wide. Some chancer was on about them being on ebay new at thae price im asking, told them to note KINGSIZE, standard maybe but Kingsize if you can even get them new now are still £150 then your £50 for a bag to fit it. Couldnt do delivery tho cos no way would I get cardboard or box big enough to protect it.
Must say tho tis very comfy and you know it wont collapse on you during the night, these things are solid.
