Hi unseen.

The Saragos is the largest Lider do with a ABS Lid, and for £1200 you are getting a lot of trailer for your money.

Prices and VAT have jumped up, since I got my Lider Alicante, £800 with all the extras back in November 2009.

That RoofRack sure is somthing, not only will it take upto 100kg, it also adds a little extra security to the ABS lid, and improves the rigidity of the ABS Lid.

One thing I did do with the Lider RoofRack, is add an extra load bearing crossmember, as it came only fitted with two, one front, one rear.

A local fabricator made one for me out of 20mm stainless box section, and fitted it for me, he had the stainless box section left over from a job, so he only charged me £5 for the work.

The Additional crossmember gives support to the middle of the RoofBox I have fitted, if I had known the extra crossmember was only going to be a fiver, I would have had two fitted, although that would have been overkill.

Like you, one day we plan to get FC (Pathfinder/Crusader), but it would have to be pre 2008, as I would want a "Cotton" canvas model, not one of the newer Acrlic offerings.

Either that, or by a caravan, and leave it in storage, down in the South of France somewhere.

Meanwhile it's the Trailer and trusty old "Cotton" Cabanon Biscaya, for the next few years, untill we have enough in the savings pot, to splash out on a FC.

Hi
I've just got a daxara 158 with side extensions and abs lid and low and behold we've filled it already, well almost. Anyway does anyone know if it would be ok to fit the load bars with a small roofbox on top or are there any laws, rules, regarding trailer height. The box would only be carrying bedding and some throws.
Any help or advice much appreciated.
