I have one and love it.

There is a devide between Cadac lovers and Cobb lovers. Both are great bits of kit from what i have read on several forums.

Just purchased the Paella pan after talking to a German couple last year, they only used the Paella pan for their 2 week holiday. They cooked everything in it.They  Left the rest of the attachments at home.

I mainly use the griddle plate to do most of my cooking on , along with the skottle plate. I manage to cook for 2 familys with this set up, 10 people.

My plan is to take just the Paella pan and pot stand on holiday this year.

I do not use the bbq attachments, far to much washing up for me.

The cadac is quite heavy if you take all the extra plates with you, but its all you will ever need.

Cadac's after sales department are fantastic, If you have any issues with components, they are only to happy to help.

I emailed them about my griddle plate,I mentioned that food sometimes stuck to the non stick coating, they sent me a new one free of charge.I think it was down to a bad batch of plates at the time.

This was even though I had owned it for nearly 2 years.

No further issues with anything

Buy one you won't be disappointed.

They're good, but big and bulky. We've had three, over the years, so have seen some design changes. It was a really useful piece of kit for when the kids were younger and we were cooking on a large scale.

We found we mostly used just the skottel because it has the biggest surface area (suggest you do use a liner, it makes life so much easier in the washing up dept!), so more recently changed to a Campingaz version which just screws direct to the gas bottle. That said, they're excellent for a family of 4 or more, especially if you use it as an oven (we never did because the lid was too big to transport!).

I have to say that Cadac are second to none in the customer service stakes; when the non-stick coating came off our plate and one of our skottel handles cracked, they replaced them immediately without quibble. They really are wonderful and I'd buy Cadac again without a doubt (now looking at the smaller models).

Incidentally, we do also have a Cobb (re: the Cadac/Cobb debate) but reckon they are two entirely different things, so there's a place for them both I think.

Have had a carri chef deluxe for two seasons now. It's excellent and we do everything from BBQ to curry to whole roast chicken with it.

Having seen my Cadac at least 2 other families in our Camping and Caravanning have since also purchased Cadacs and we all rave about them. I've also witnessed die hard charcoal traditionalists acknowledge the flexibility of the Cadac cooking system. It's so much more than just. BBQ. Well worth the investment IMHO

We got ours last season and love it.

I would say shop around though, that seems very expensive.  We found the cheapest we could on the internet - and then did a price match at Go Outdoors.  Think it was about £110 (without the paella pan)
