Leisure batteries need a specific type of battery charge/conditioner. The Ring Smart Charge range are well worth looking at. the best deals are on line. I have a caravan based 110 amphr battery, which I need to power the mover. I haven't been let down yet

I have that battery charger and it worked a treat on the leisure battery I used to have in my old caravan. It will also pay you to get a voltmeter (voltometer?) so you know how much juice is in your battery. You can pick one up for around a fiver.

They are only about £14.99 from LIDL's or ALDI's.

I have the Aldi one at £12.99 from last year and use it for my leisure battery when on hookup and when not being used over winter. Superb charger with the winter facility, car and bike battery charging and also very small. It is hardly noticable in the unit.

I know this does not help much when they are currently not being sold by the stores, but worth keeping an eye out for when they are offering them again.

Cheers  Ratty

It should initially charge at 14.4 volts and drop to 13.8 when the battery is charged,if the battery is dead flat then it may not recognise there is a battery connected as it detects the voltage from the battery to determine the state of charge,

The Lidl/Aldi chargers only charge at app 4a so it will take a long time to charge a large battery.
