All

I have been thinking about maximising storage capacity as my Nissan Juke is becomming too small for our ever expanding camping gear. I can't have a trailer as I live in a terraced house. So I will probably go for a tow bar mounted option.

I have looked at Thule easy base and back up box, but ruled them out as too expensive. I have looked at the Bakrak box but ruled this out because it's too small.

I currently have a Quattro Buzz Rack carrier, and as we don't take cycles on our France trips (where the extra storage is needed the most) I am thinking about options to fit a box onto it.

I have come across this type of box

Garden Storage Box

and guess I can easily mount it onto the cycle carrier, but it feels a bit "Heath Robinson"!

Hope this makes sense.

Any ideas?

That's what I used on my easy base just strap it on with three ratchet straps and away we go althought we now use a trailer, we found it very handy for storage it the tent as well, just don't try lifting when it's loaded as it will fall apart but saying that we did find it very handy at the time.
