ok im about to order a cobb (ridiculously excited!) and was wondering which accessories to get. We are going for the kit with premier combo ++ as we dont think we would need the extender but do think we would use the griddle and wok. I was wondering what else is worth ordering from the site? The bamboo chopping board looks good but is it over priced? What about cobblestones? are they a reasonabe price from the cobb bbq store or better to order from somewhere else? What about the heat beads? Also do people find the thermometer handy?

thanks

Sam

Sam I bought my Cobb with just the roasting rack. Not long ago I bought a pizza dish with holes in it and found it fit the Cobb perfectly I have now bought a wok from Tesco and that also fits perfectly so I don't think I would be too bothered about buying things other than the roasting rack with the Cobb as Other things work just as well with it and are much cheaper, if I paid a lot for Cobb accessories I would be frightened in case they got scratched or something.

Mrmara,

where did you buy the pizza dish from?

Sam,

over the years i have collected all the bits except the extender.

The griddle is very heavy duty and takes a long time to heat up, personally ii think that the fact you need to to keep the lid on to keep the heat up sort of defeats the object.

Before i got the frying pan ( which i still havent used) I used the wok as a frying pan. Even though the pan isnt non stick it cooked a fried breakfast fine.

I have used the wok to make stews and its great for chillis etc.

If I had to choose items by order i would go for:

roasting rack

wok

griddle

frying pan

hope this helps
