Years of camping with a 'bucket with a lid' we upgraded to a luggable loo. Best thing we ever did. Nice and stable and just a bit higher than the bucket.
We always used a black bin liner with kitty litter. Now we did trial several makes and types over the years and found that Pets at Home wood based litter was the best. No odour at all - just the slight waft of wood shavings and all was neutralised, deodorised and ready for the bin in the morning.
I'll be using Catsun absorbent kitty litter as that is what I have at home for the cat.

just wanted to point ppl in the direction of the local Coop. ours are handing out compostable carrier bags instead of the normal ones. they have no perforations in them so would be perfect for those who use wood based litter it could all go on the compost heap ( I've read that wee is good for compost heaps)
more environmentally friendly than a bin liner and land fill and the bags are free ;)
