Hi, has anyone got one of these and if so how comfy are they? and would you advise using them with a SIM on top or on own?

We have decided that being as I have a really dodgy back, hips & knees (I just LOVE getting older!) perhaps this is the way to go.  At the moment we use 2 double airbeds on top of one another but I find that if I wasnt in pain before I went to bed, I am when I get up which is not a good start to they day.

If anyone has any experience of these beds, good or bed, I would be grateful for your comments - we have a Coleman Hudson double sleeping bag which we would be using with it.

When we used to tent camp we used two outwell folding singles with the x-legs and the tention bars fitted to the head and foot of the bed, which were very strong and comfortable, we then lashed the two together with bungees which was quite easy and very sturdy, then finally topped them with a deep double SIM and a duvet top and bottom, as neither of us like being zipped in tightly to a sleeping bag.

The whole thing made a very good double without any dips in the middle, and we still use it as a guest bed in the awning when needed with our present caravan.

I also have a very bad back, shoulders, and knees but have a Aerobed delux, this is better than my bed at home. I tried camp beds but they didnt work for me. Aerobed's had a half price sale on recently.

How small do they fold down though?  I have a distinct lack of space in my car and cant afford a new one at the moment.

the aerobed must be smaller than the campbed when packed up.....our single height one packs up much smaller than out single sleeping bags

I have a friend who has had alot of surgery on her back and swears by her aerobed....

My aerobed folds down smaller than the 2 camp beds we had. Its smaller than our double sleeping bag not sure of the size as packed in the roof box at moment.

Posada double with a double decent sim = brilliant, yes theres the bar in the middle but i love it .

Also the bonus of being off the floor and easier to get out of.
