No worries Betty. I looked at all the mains lights and the Castor for us was the best overall, let down by a ridiculously short lead.
It's relatively small so won't intrude too much into the tent living area yet gave good light output from the 40w SES low voltage bulb we tested it with.
It *looks* well sealed but is only rated 1P20 suitable for indoor use. The caravan awning type lights probably have better protection but aren't suitable for externally poled tents IMHO. I may pipe a thin bead of clear silicone around the obvious weak points.
We're going to keep it and extend the lead once I can get to a tent display show and work out where we'd bring in the EHU lead and site the EHU unit.
Let us know what you end up with.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Betty, was in GO yesterday and theirs have 5m leads. Also, in their latest booklet, it shows the light on special 16/04 to 22/04 at £12.99. Wish I'd seen that earlier

Kampa 150 Led light , it is 12v with the adaptor to run off EHU. Unlike a lot of other LED lights it is a nice warm colour and very bright, ideal for playing games and reading. It is very cool and ever so light weight so can hang up against the roof of the tent with ease.
Just used the light on our camping trip last week - lead was plenty long enough and was very happy with the look and the amount of light given from it!
