Hi,

Does anybody out there know if the whistles from a Ghillie Kettle will fit on a Kelly Kettle? I think Kelly are missing a trick by not having one available for their kettles and would i like to purchase one for my "scout" model.

I think the Kelly way of having nothing in the hole is better, I use a Ghillie kettle but don't use the cap/whistle. When it's used you have to be very careful when  removing it once the water's boiled, unless the kettle is filled with quite a bit less than it's max capacity it can spit out boiling water as the cap is removed.

You don`t need a whistle. You`ll know when it`s boiling, cos it spits out water if it`s anywhere near full

Been i touch with the people at Ghillie Kettle and they repiled their whistle doesn't fit on the kelly anyway. Probably for the best it doesn't coz if i had one i won't be tempted to just leave the fire unattended and just listen out for the noise from the whistle.
