Can any recomend a place to get a set of roof bars to fit a 2010 vauxhall astra? we have seen them on ebay for about £59.00 but would like to find someone who`s bought some reasonabled priced ones that stay on the roof

I used roofbox.co.uk who advertise on this site and give a discount to UKCS members - great service, best price I could find for new bars, and great range of products - have a look and give them a go.  My view was if I am putting a box on my roof I want to make sure it stays there - dont scrimp on things like quality when it is the safety of you and others on the line

have to agree with Paul about quality.

We bought some bars about 4 years ago for £60 saving me some money:)

2 years later they were gone, got some Thule ones of Ebay very safe,quick and easier to use unlike the others.

Learnt the hard way

I got Thule rapid fit (a bit misnamed) for mine,but ended up getting the bars,footpack and fitting kit from separate places. I went to the Thule site first to get the part numbers,then searched online. Ended up getting the footpack and kit from ebay,and the bars from a ski shop,and saved about £25.
