ive been pondering on as to buy a cadac pizza stone for my safari chef..as i fancy trying to bake one while away camping..so ive just ordered one from keengardner off the net..ive not used the safari chef yet as i intend taking it away with me for our next trip..can anyone who has the pizza stone recomend them as well as the safari chef..
I got one last year for my birthday and we used it when we had friends visiting us on site at Cromer last year. Personally I thought it was really good and we were able to turn around a decent size pizza every five minutes. The kids also thought it was good fun mixing and proofing the dough. If you are making your own pizzas my only tips would be to put a pinch of flower onto the pizza stone so stop if from sticking and try to keep the lid on to cook the toppings not just the base.
------------- Manor Park Farm, Cromer every august, but somewhere different every may/June.
4 years of superior packing yet still no room in the car
did pizzas on my carri chef at the weekend, put the deflector on and the bbq grill, took a while to heat, next time will leave the deflector off, but brill pizzas crispy bases right across.
put soem flour on but this burnt, although didnt spoil the pizza.
had the lid on, heat lost rapid without, took about 10 mins
