Not a problem with a kingsize bedchair at around 94cm wide. Im a big lass and can sprawl on mine. Sorry to be selling up but need to declutter before I move to a smaller place.
It would never fit in the car though if it would I would buy one

That is the problem I had with the camp bed, although I think part of the problem was my sleeping bag. I like one leg straight and the other at 90 degrees which my sleeping bag can't coipe with at all
I sleep similar to that, I love my campbed with rubberised airbed on top, sleeping bag tucked under the airbed at the back and hanging down at the front, not zipped, plenty of room for kicking around!
We have camp beds & i am wondering about getting SIM just to give that extra bit of comfort so that the edges of the bed do not dig in when i am turning over but do not know which one to get i.e inches as never used |SIM before so any advice would be great
If pack size is a problem, why not try the rubberized canvas airbed. They are much more reliable
we have gone back to these as we did not find the camp bed comfertable and and borrowed a quality sim,but hubby did not like.I like to be able to have my feet outand move aroundwhen i sleep.
We had similar problems and after going through several versions of air beds invested in 2 fishing beds and omg they are amazing
We went mid range and spent £100 each but they will last for years and made such a diffeence
Onlly down side is if you tight for space in your car as they are fairly bulky
I think this is one of the major problems with camping, so does everyone else judging by how many views this post has had! lol.
I find it really hard to sleep on a SIM, too flat, I like to lie on my side/front with leg and arm hanging off bed. The air beds are either too hard or too soft. I don't like the ones with pillows. An if we use a double one, I find it hard to sleep with OH moving around it disurbs me. Have tried campbeds in the past, but they are too bulky.
I quite like the look of the areo beds also the Hi gear SIM, for got what its called but its quite thick and rounded, but don't want to spend lots only for it to be same as everything else we have had!
I have an Outwell Posadas bed (2 of these fit in a 2 man pod on a Bear lake for example..)
I have a SIM on top of that. I wrap a quishon round the sim to act as an "undersheet" and then open up the sleeping bag over the quishon so it's like a quilt on top (I also like to sleep with a knee bent).
We're also Aerobed fans. Not only do we have our Aerobed Active Like This but we also have 3 single ones bought for £7 each when TJ Hughes closed down.
I have bought some 'Emergency Shelters' from the pound shop (like the metallic 'blanket' that marathon runners use after the race)and I have opened them out to put one under the Aerobed and one over the top of our sleeping bags... very cosy!
------------- "Yeah, I'll go camping as long as we have an Aerobed!"

Planning to go to Holland for 2 weeks camping in August BUT the planning is giving me a headache!
