ok so i had the idea of using a slow coker in the caravan when we go away. as i read the forum- lots of you do just this.
question is???? recipes that you all use.
There's plenty of books out there to buy for Slow Cooker recipes but basically put whatever meat in you fancy together with the vegetables you like. add a little stock or a tin of tomatoes, seasonings/herbs and Bob's you uncle.
Should be ready in 4-6 hours on low or longer if you like depending on the cut of meat. Lets you go out for the day and supper is ready on you return.
Enjoy!!
Anything I can make in one pot at home I can make in the slow cooker. Ok they are a bit hefty to take with you but for longer breaks they are perfect. I always brown my meat in another pan first then chuck in the rest , switch it on and go out for the day. Chilli, stroganoff, stews etc.
edit -sorry I can't give you my stoganoff recipe because then I'd have to kill you... well the calorie count will do it anyway
