I've bought Refresh bands to have access to porcelain at T in the Park this year, they're still busy and still stink but are nowhere near as bad a portaloos. Lots of women just do what the blokes do and use the nearest vertical surface to spare their blushes - that's why DD rechristened it "P in the Park"

I'm not sure what's gross about using one, I thought we all had to pee
I suspect for those that don't go further than a public loo than a shopping centre it might be a bit odd but for those of us who have hunted around for the right sort of bush, only to then pee on our feet it makes a lot more sense! Personally I find it a bit tricky to fit the portaloo in my rucksack...
I've got the extension tube, I was a bit paranoid about still managing to pee on my feet so went for this. Haven't seen the pants, I've not had a huge issue with normal pants TBH.
LMAO - love all the different comments on here. Just goes to show what different campers we all are!!
And yes - we all have to pee but not neccessarily in a plastic funnel standing up!!!!! lol
In theory I think they are great. However I cannot work out exactly how they should be used. With a man who has his equipment up front, there is usually access in that place. Maybe I'm wearing the wrong things but as a woman my bits are not as easy to get to. I would still need to undo clothing and surely underwear gets in the way? I'd end up flashing all just getting things in place.
The ads are great but so far I have never seen any being demonstrated, lol.
------------- If you see a family struggling to put up the tent then it must be us!

No need to strip down just unzip and push out the way (like men have to).
There is a definite art to it and it does take some getting used to. I wouldn't want to have to do it every day but in an emergency or when the loos are it is a worth while accessory
I have one with the extension tube and the plastic container to fit it all in. Mine also lives in my rucksack although I have been thinking about buying a second one for the car
