hi this may be a daft question but... We are having EHU for the first time this summer, we have an outwell elec coolbox and was wandering if it can be run constantly on the electric or should it be switched off some of the time? ( i thought i read somewhere before that they shouldn't be left on 24hrs a day) ??

We leave ours on all the time, the only time we have switched it off is when it's been really cold on a night, other than that we just leave it.

Hi, we've left ours running 24 hours a day over a weekend and it's been ok so far but would be really interested to hear if we shouldn't be doing this!
I've looked online and can't find any warnings so it will be interesting to hear what others think.

we leave our on 24/7 in hot weather no problems and ours is a cheep go outdoors bargain one

the instructions on my new one say it should only be run for 6 days and then needs a 2 hour break to prevent ice build up on the fan.

well timers are dirt cheap so you could set it to go off for a period of time in the middle of the night when it's going to be coolest.

We run our 24/7 never had any problems sometimes water drips out of the top when I open it so I sometimes keep opened food items in little sandwich bags

We've kept ours on 24/7 for 12 nights. Only switched it off once or twice to defrost around the fan and drain out the water.
