Greetings, would like advice from experienced campers.
I have an electric coolbox that plugs into the car cigarette lighter, us there an adaptor available or us there some other way that I can do so it will plug into the regular plug socket so I'll be able to use it with the ehu socket.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
You need to check the output of the adaptor, they are normally 5-6amp this should be adequate for coolbox. Look inside your coolbox, it with say probably 12v/35w. You divide watts by volts to get amps so 12v/35w = less than 3amps input so ok with 5watt output adaptor.
Does the Coleman one take any coolbox brand of cigarette lighter plug? I'm assuming it has a socket for a cigarette plug which it converts to mains, but the pics not very clear and voltage description stuff is over my head.

The pen is mightier than the sword - but only if the sword is very small and the pen is very sharp...
With regard to adaptor/transformer safety, I would like to add the need to make sure the cable is fully unwound and not wrapped around the transformer, and to stand the transformer in a well-ventilated area without any risk of obstructions or being covered e.g. by a towel or a jumper etc...

Ours does. The coolbox is a Campingaz one and has a normal car plug. The socket on the Coleman transformer is on the side. It's clearer on the Kampa as the socket is on a lead. That might help keep heat down in use, don't know. Never had a problem with ours but we only run it during the day when we're in, or in the car anyway.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Appreciate all the advise, and if 13 quid is the average price of a decent one then that's a small price to pay to keep me and my pals safe - from dodgy food and milk and dodgy electrics. Don't want to be another statistic.
I have. I also have a fire extinguisher. And in light of recent events I intend to acquire a carbon monoxide alarm for this season I have proper camping gas fire and cooking facilities so don't intend to put a bbq in my tent I think it b will be a prudent to move
