I have a Aldi mini oven, but after reading all about the halogen ovens i looked into them, and have just purchased one direct from JML got the bumper pack so it can do everything, delivery Monday. We are camping next weekend and i will be taking the halogen oven with us. Getting excited about what i can cook.

We have just bought a QUEST mini camping oven,havent tried it out on site yet but it seems a nicely made bit of kit just thought it would expand the culinary repetoire somewhat.

Some mini ovens only have a 30 minute timer on them so you could be a bit restricted in what you cook.

I've got one but I'm not very impressed with it. I try to take stuff from home for heating up but it doesn't seem very efficient. Fortunately I've got an oven in my new van so this one will be going.

I bought a halogen oven but couldn't get on with that either! I didn't really give it a chance, to be honest, because I couldn't bear the bright light and the noise.

We have one from argos the morphy Richards one it's £119 but was on offer for £60 a while ago when we bought it, we can use the hob and oven at the same time.
Was slower than the oven at home but still enjoyed the different options we could cook having an oven x

Lidl mini oven here as well, fan assited if needed, one hour timer, my wife does anything that can be done in the home oven appart from a large turkey

Andrew James do a halogen oven for £23. I have bought a raclette and a stand mixer from them in the past and have been really pleased. Their customer service is excellent.

we have one of the basic ones from argos and used it for most things, it worked especially well for the farm shop ready made pie.

we also use it home for heating up things like garlic bread, saves turning on the main oven just for one thing.

it does take up a bit of room but generally pack other small stuff inside it

I have a cookshop halogen oven which has a hinged lid and is so much easier than using a lid stand. It comes with an extension ring, both racks, tongs and two pans, I use it all the time at home so once I bought an EHU lead it made sense for it to come along camping with us.

Hi
I would avoid the halogen oven. I have an Andrew James one and have had real difficulty baking in it. I tried an 8" chocolate fudge cake and it turned out like a steamed pudding. Pizzas have soggy bases. I'm not that impressed with it to be honest. Oven chips turn out very well though, but its not something we eat very often!

I have to say I get on very well with my halogen oven whilst away over Christmas and New Year I cooked some delicious meals including a turkey crown with roast veg it was lush also full cooked breakfasts, gammon joint, scones, jacket spuds, beef stroganoff to name but a few it, seems that some get on better than others with them but I wouldn't be without mine.
