Hope someone can help me out - we bought a Royal Double Wardrobe for our new tent last week when we were up at Catterick Caravans - we live in Bradford so it's not our local store!

I've taken advantage of the nice weather to practice setting up all our kit. Tent is pitched, airbeds blown up ok, and now its time for the wardrobe.

Ah, no instructions!! Now I'm not thick by any measure, but its taken me longer to get to this stage than it did to put the tent up!

I've got all the poles in-situ, but try as I might, I can't get the white corner brackets to go on - I can get 3 on at any one time, but thats all.

I've just taken them all off, and noticed a small "P1" or "P2" printed on the inside of the brackets, but don't know what that means.

Can anyone give me some advice, or direct me to the instructions online? I've looked at Royal's website which is next to useless, but I'm stressed out now, so it's time for a brew before I try putting a larder together.

I wouldn't care, but once it's all up and her ladyship has had a look, it's all coming back down again! :(

We used to have a storage cupboard very similar, but without the wardrobe side. It was a pain to set up! Infact it drew blood on one occasion! Argh!

It's just so tight to pull and squeeze into it's little joints. We ditched it and got a collapsabile cupboard. Set up in seconds. It makes all the difference. The whole of the tent could be set up in the time it took to get this one little chuff set up! Argh, it gets me annoyed now just talking about it! I hated the thing.

Hi the only suggestion i can make is are all the corner white bits the right way round??? we had 1 where the white bits had to be 1 way only!!!! thats the reason we have just bought the folding 1!!!!

The only advice I can give is the same as saz5176 is that you need to ensure the corners are in the right location and you will probably have a bit of strain in the fabric to make the unit rigid. Not sure if your base/feet have self adjusting feet, if so this may help you to work out the base. If not it maybe a case of trial and error...

Like others have said, after purchasing a self assembly unit I made sure that all future purchases of furniture where folding and easily assembled. You can end up spending just as much time putting together one unit as it takes to put up the tent!

If you do manage to figure it out it’s probably worth marking poles and corners so you know what goes where. Good luck!

Slide one end pole through first and attach the corner bits then slide the 2 front/back poles through and into the corner bits.

Now slide the remaining end pole through and attach the corner bits to it, then kind of roll the corner bits onto both of the front/back poles at the same time.

Not sure if that makes sense, but it works for me.

I too got one of these last year, and you have just reminded me of how tricky it was first time.

 Trial and error was the key (why they don't supply instructions is beyond me as they are quality products!)

I agree with 1320 it's the 'rolling/twisting' the corner bits into place that makes the difference. I also started bottom and worked upwards lol.

I only take mine when we go for 2 weeks, so this year I may do as mcguire6078 suggests and colour code as I go.

Hi Steve

Ours nearly went through the window and also drew blood!
My OH sawed some off the end of the poles to make it easier to go into the corners, worked a treat.
