we have the carri chef but trying to lighten my load with new caravan..so thinking of leaving alot of cadac stuff at home(flat/griddle plate, bbq rack, skottel, fat tray) and buy a paella pan.
My question is has anyone bought a normal paella pan and been happy with it?
the cadac one is £40+ delivered
and a kitchen craft one same size 46cm is £20 delivered?
thanks

The proper cadac one is lovely quality. The lid fits it. It comes in its own zip up cover. Well worth the extra -I am delighted with mine and use it for almost everything. So much easier to clean!

We just use a standard Paella pan from a cookware shop, it was about £8. No problems on our Safari Chef.

We have just bought the Cadac paella pan - price matched with Go Outdoors so cost us less than £29 .

Used it last night in the garden to make jambalaya and it was fantastic because we found using the skottel everything stuck to it.

How do you price match with go? Do you have to pay to become a member first?
I've been wanting a paella pan but they're just so expensive......

This is the receipe that I use for the Jambalaya - easy to do and was fab on Cadac although i had to add more stock as the pan was much bigger than a frying pan but it still cooked brilliantly as the extra stock is evaporated.

To price match with go all you need to do is be a member and then when you go to the checkout tell them the website that you have found it cheaper - they will then go and check their computer then price match it and discount it by a further 10%.

I use an electric multicooker for paella. They are light weight, easy to clean and can be used for barbeques and lots more.
