Bought a Kalahari 8 tent on special offer which had been reduced to £199, we went camping with it this weekend, had a fantastic time but noticed a couple of silly little things wrong with it i.e a couple of the eyelets that you thread the internal "bedrooms" into were a bit mangled but still useable and one of the bedroom doors didnt zip shut properly, so i decided to ring them up and ask about the bedroom door as that was the only bit i had a problem with really. They told me to bring it down so i took the whole thing back showed em the prob (and while i was at it the eyelets) at this point the lady in the shop gave me 2 options as i didnt want my money back.
1, have a replacement tent
2, have it sent back for repair (which takes 2 weeks and we wouldnt be using it during that time anyway) and get some money back on the tent!
lol we chose option 2 as the faults if you can call em that wernt really big problems thinking maybe we would get £10-£20 back they gave us £100 back on the tent!!!! could have floored me when that happened! £100 for a couple of tiny flaws in the tent!
so a tent that should have cost £600 (without a discount card)bought on special for £199 has finally cost us £99 gotta love a bargin lmao!!
well considering we are completely new to camping and only have a few bits we need a lot of things but settled on a EHU and a couple of camp beds the rest we put to one side as we didnt see anything else to inspire us that we havent seen cheaper somewhere else lol but seeing as they gave us the money back in cash as i paid for the tent that way it means can shop anywhere the deals are
Wish Decathlon had done that for my Base which I took back, I did say can't you send it for repair as it only needed the stitching re-doing on 3 of the pegging points but they said no and gave me my money back.

we may possibly have made a novice mistake, only time will tell, but we only picked up the cheap £10 ones as when we checked them all out the others had things about them we didnt like such as side bars that seemed to stick up and you caught your arms on them or seemed wobbly but these ones were suprisingly sturdy and we figure as we are thinking of putting our double airbed on top they should be ok with legs tied together lol
the wifey (Sbarrett)gets all the breaks !!
now all ive gotta figure out is..
1. figure out how to keep beds together.. bungy cord!
2. figure out how to keep air bed on top of said beds.. hmm.. why am i always the last to know these things???
------------- tents.. there, beer.. there, party.. here
