Hi all,

newbie camper here, I'm wondering which cooker to get. I'm thinking of a 2 burner, not sure about those with the hot plate/grills on them, don't they just get dirty?

Help please...

What seasons do you intend to camp?

Budget?

Portability, do you have space for a gas bottle or would you rather use gas canisters?

Etc. etc...

Good questions,

Mostly summer fair weather camping,

Budget, well middle of the road, not silly expensive.

Happy to have a bottle of gas, but if canisters work well.

I'd rather spend a bit more money & cart a gas bottle around if it made life easier when camping, if that makes sense.

well you can get a two burner stove with no grill made by campingaz for £8.50 plus p&p, ihave just bought one and it is a good stove

add around £6.00 for a regulator and then get a bottle of gas, now this is the expensive bit if you buy a bottle from a supplier you pay a hefty deposit and the cost of gas on top

go to the local recycling centre and see if you can scrounge an epty bottle and just pay for the refill

if you want more than just the two rings then i think the campingaz camping chef is a good buy and comes for around £40.00 this has two rings and a grill

tesco camping cookers

I have also got two suitcase type stoves for a quick weekend or when i travel light, but a two ring stove with a gas bottle is a good starting place
