Thetford PortaPotti for us with a Kampa Privvy Toilet Tent. We actually got the loo second hand off ebay. If you are going on a site without facilities I think you have got to have a proper chemical toilet.
The Kampa Privvy Toilet tent is put up by the kids - its that easy.
The big downside of most chemical toilets is that they are big to store and carry but I cant imagine trying to manage with a bucket type loo if there were no other facilities on site.
We've just picked up a Thetford Qube 145 after looking at a few different makes "in the flesh" so to speak (although not giving them a full test run, I hasten to add).

We use ordinary toilet paper and we've never had a problem. I can't see any reason to buy anything specific.
I thought the specific paper bio degraded quicker.

It does bio degrade quicker camping100.
All paper breaks down and degrades, the suggested benefit of "camping" loo roll is that it is thinner so breaks down more quickly in the loo with the use of chemicals so you are apparently less prone to blockages when emptying the loo.
As I've said, we've never had a problem with getting a blockage with normal loo roll, so I've never seen the point in paying for overly expensive thin loo roll when normal works well. It's another one of those gimmicks for me but each to their own.
Another one here for cheap and cheerful loo roll. Only other advice is get a shower / toilet tent as at some point you will take the next step up to providing your own. Keeping the loo roll dry is another issue. It will collect the morning dew so a bag is useful.
------------- Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Before we had a unit with a built-in loo, we had a Thetford portapotti and a big toilet-tent. With any chemical loo, we've only ever used supermarkets' own cheap toilet paper, never the 'proper' Thetford stuff, and never had a problem with emptying (I always did the loo emptying). Seeing as your loo will be in a separate tent and used for everything, don't be tempted to empty it every day - the blue breaks the contents down better the longer it is left and makes emptying easier. Just empty it when it needs it (check it before bed so you don't end up having to empty the thing at stupid o'clock in the morning).

Found some decently priced products, and one or two that made me smile:
mmm, made me laugh but I think i will stick to my Kampa Portaflush.
