I need some help, After many years of not camping I am now starting all over again for the grandchildren who I know will love it...I have been looking for a folding coleman camp oven, ( I had one years ago and it was brilliant )  I have spoken to Coleman and they say they are now only available in the US and would not send one to me directly. So here is my question..Is there anyone out there that has one they no longer use and would like to sell or does anyone know where I can buy one in the UK?

I have looked on Ebay where the only new ovens are in the US and the postage alone is £100 + which is rediculous. I am happy to have a used oven that is in good condition. There has to be one out there somewhere just waiting to come camping with me and mine...

I have tried that but the seller still wanted £50 to post to the UK.

I don't know anyone in the US but will ask friends if they have friends as you suggest. Thank you for the idea.

I used to cook the Sunday dinner in my one they are a great thing to have. 

I don't understand why Coleman stopped selling them in the UK, I might try badgering them a bit more, you never know if enough people request them they might start selling them here again.

Christine, thank you, I have now purchased the oven hopefully I won't have to pay too much import tax but I think if an item is under £30 it is only about £6 or at least it was the last time I had to pay.

I have just checked the import for it and it's only £8 so I am a happy bunny...

I am so looking forward to this camping trip with my grandchildren, I didn't think at almost 59 I would be camping again but I can honestly say the best holidays I had were always in a tent. I remember one time when my sons had been sea fishing and came back with fresh caught mackrel which we cooked, it tasted so good and my sons were so pleased with themselves, hope we can recreate it for my grandsons & granddaughter.

I assume these "ovens" just sit on a standard burner..?..if so,why not just use a decent saucepan/stock pot,with a diffuser..?

We can roast a 3 1/5 lb chicken,complete with all the veg,in the large pan of our Coleman Family cookset...
