I have just come back from a VERY wet packing up session and have n extremely wet tent, to dry out. The problem is the weather forecast is awful! How long can I get away with leaving it folded down damp (at the moment with the forecast I think I'll be able to get it up in the garden Friday pm, it was folded down late morning yesterday - am I going to damage it in that amount of time?

Also, the rain this weekend has proven that I need to reproof the tent, I am not vertically challenged at 5'8" but my tent's roof is approx 7'. Having read a couple of other websites I need to get reproofing liquid, fine, I can track that down easily enough but I was after any tips for making sure I get an even coverage over the roof (use of ladder is expected!) when the tent is so big as its a vango aspen 700

I think you'll be fine to leave it that long, I've kept tents wet for a week before when the weather just didn't give me the opportunity to dry them out.

You need to establish the source of the leak ideally so you can then work out the proper treatment. Perhaps get the hose on it before you start drying it out Friday?

I was looking at it over the weekend but where it's an inner tent with a fly over (poles attach to inner) its really difficult to tell although it seemed to be mainly the roof in three or four areas. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it
