Hi
can anyone advise the best carpet/flooring for inside a tent

I have about 3m2 to cover...I'm thinking about this and wondered if anyone has any opinions

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kampa-Groundsheet-Awning-Tread-250X350/dp/B003ICDR5W

Any advice would be appreciated

Regards

Martyn

Hi Martyn & welcome to the forum

The one in your link is a breathable groundsheet, it's okay but, not soft underfoot like a carpet. You could go for it & just put a couple of nice soft picnic rugs on top of it in places where you may want to walk barefoot.

Have a look in Tesco they do picnic rugs. Don't buy tent carpets you will be really dissappointed with what you get, the one Vango do for our Tigris Was so over priced I bought the Tesco ones. Four of them and got out the sewing machine and made one large carpet just as good as the Vango but a lot cheeper

You can find a few universal tent carpets. We recently got one for our front awning from Easycamp, but I was a bit disappointed with the size, as it's a bit on the small side (180x200cm). Coleman do a universal 230x230cm one as well.

Tent carpets have a waterproof backing. I personally wouldn't be without my Outwell Oakland XL tent carpet.

Thanks for the advice plenty to think about

A friend who works in the textile industry says he can get me an
Isabelle bolon carpet 2.5 x 4 metres for £20 in grey

Think I might go for this as these can also be cut to size.

Hope it fits the bill

That's a fantastic price for Bolon of that size. If you decided you didn't like it , you'd get your money back on fleabay without too much trouble.
