Hi guys, new to the site and camping in general.

Just picked up a Camping Dual Burner with Grill from Aldi

They only had one left in store and one of the knobs was missing (i just moved the one present from the grill to one of the burners) and got it for a good price. Does anyone know where I could possibly get a replacement knob from ?

Also, being new to camping and certainly camping stoves, can i assume that this, using LPG gas, can be used with the calor gas 4.5kg butane bottles ?

Go to your local tip and take a look at all the dumped cookers there,im sure you would find a complete set of matching ones you could make fit.We got a replacement grill for ours in this way.

our local tip is council regulated and we can't just browse through it :( Shame as i'm sure you are right and we could likely have found knobs this way.

shame about the cooker missing a knob, that is going to be a hard one to replace with an exact match 

the bottle is good and will fit that aldi stove

you will probably find you dont use the grill that much so it may not be the end of the world

Aldi have great customer service. Try calling them and see if they can get the manufacturer to post a new knob.. or at least see how much it will cost to send a replacement.

My parents purchased a cooker a few years ago and had a similar problem - they ended up sending a whole new cooker for free!

Our council tip is the same won't let you wander around or take anything (if you’re spotted). When we were dropping some garden waste last year a guy was chucking away at least 30 plastic garden planters in various sizes he was just finishing. I asked him if I could grab a few and he agreed. Then came over an attendant and said we could not take them and we had to leave ...madness.

Or try a plumbing supplies, they may have a valve knob etc or something that will fit

Yes not sure how or why the council are insisting on not taking things from the tip, isn't that recycling at its best ?

Fully concur with the grill probably not being used as much as I'd think and that its likely not to be missed. I could, to be honest, turn the valve using a pair of pliers but obviously this is less than ideal.

Thanks youlbury for the link, might be an option, but they appear out of stock at the moment.

Does anyone have a customer support number for aldi ? Worth a shot asking about the control knob i guess.
