We have booked to a two break in August and the plot has a fully serviced pitch and can see many types of mains connectors
But just would like to know which people tend go for??
I have seen the ones which connect into the Aquaroll with like a ballcock like this Here
Then I have founds ones which connect from the tap straight into the caravan where normally the pump gets inserted Here
Call me over cautious but I use the aqua roll with the mains adaptor. That way if there is a failure, the water leak will be outside the van. I just have an aversion to pushing mains pressure into the side of my caravan. It is probably quite safe but I will stick with the aqua roll and adaptor option.
There's probably a fair few on fleabay but I bought mine from this seller. Works a treat and has never let me down.
It's cheap enough to make one yourself, but to be fair by the time you've bought the fittings, valve and additional Aquaroll cap, you might as well get one of these.
There are pro's and con's with both systems, but as other posts I prefer the 'Aquaroll method' and I don't like the idea of fitting a permanent feed to the van; I encountered x2 folk during my time last year where internal pipework detached in their respective vans causing water damage.
We bought the aquaroll mains water system (ball cock type) last year, but there are very few caravan sites that actually have "fully serviced" pitches so we will only be using the mains water system on maybe 1 in 20 sites, so although a brilliant system and one less container to check and refill, it really depends on how you camp as to how usefull it will be to you.
Its only the bigger aquaroll it works on we had a whale mains system a few years ago and had no problems and there are quite a few sites that now do fully serviced pitches

This rather depends on what kind of sites you use.
True for bigger sites but we do tend to use smaller CL's and CS's and only occasionally use bigger comercial and club sites.
Also be aware that if you are going down the aquaroll road, do be careful to buy only a genuine aquaroll as this has the side spout on the diagonally oposite wall to the top spout.
Cheaper (Pyramid) type aquarolls have the both spouts on the same side and so when you put in the pump and hose, it collides with the ballcock valve and can knock it out of position.
