problem with returning it is that ebay/paypal will support a refund of your initial costs (purchase+postage so £62) but will insist you return the tent via a tracked recorded postage system. There is no obligation for the cost of that return postage to be refunded to you. You may end up seriously out of pocket anyway.

I doubt it. If they get a refund for £63.00 assuming it was posted for £12.00 as stated in questions/answers. Interparcel – via UPS can send it for around £10 with an electronic copy of POD. They will be out of pocket but only around £10.00 as opposed to £63 (assuming it was posted)

aye that's what I meant, they will be £10/£12 out of pocket for return postage. To me that's seriously out of pocket for the hassle. It's obviously worth it for the rufund but not very fair....I could buy several things I "need" for camping with the £10
Just a warning that return postage must be tracked and will not be refunded by paypal/ebay.

I think being £63 out of pocket for something you can't use is worse. Good to point out though that it may cost you to post the item back (assuming it was posted and not collected)

I agree with mcguire on this one better to get some money back and if you use interparcel.com you could probably send it economy for around £7.50. If the seller is honest and has 100% feedback then they will probably refund the return postage to avoid negative feedbak

We have same tent and its a great little tent but I think you've been robbed.

It certainly has'nt been used once. we bought ours for £119, but I have seen them on internet for £99.

If you cannot send it back, do what we did with another tent. pitch it somewhere and with a bucket of diluted bleach and water and one of those sponges with one side to scrub, go inside tent and gently rub off the mould. Then rinse with lemon juice in water and leave out as long as you can to dry and hang an airfreshner inside. You have nothing to lose and it worked on one of our tents. Looked like new and had lovely smell
