What insurance company do you use? We were with the Caravan club but after the recent theft of our caravan we were very disappointed by the way we were treated. So now looking for another insurance company but there dont seem to be many!

We were with the caravan club for 6 yrs before we claimed but when we did they made us feel like the criminals!!! So time to move on

I've recently changed over to Caravanguard following recommendation from several colleagues. Unfortunately, you probably never get to ascertain how good your insurance company is until the event of a claim (as above comments), but one colleague who has claimed thru the above found them very fair and sorted his claim well.

Adrian Flux are very good. I've had my van with them for several years and also my buildings and contents for the last couple of years.

Caravan guard are inexpensive. Not used them to claim but they have a good reputation.

We have used Simple Caravan Insurance for 2 years.  Easy form to fill in on line and a very competative quote.  Although we have not had to make a claim (touch wood) so cannot comment on that.

Just want to add it was recommended by member/s on this forum.

just brought a caravan yesterday and went online and found the best price i could get was from towergate, with them i only needed a hitch lock (have al-ko one fitted on the van) and a wheel clamp (any type ) job done !!

I was with the caravan club insurance last year when My van was written off due to losing a wheel.
I was very impressed with them,I received a cheque from them and the claim was completed in two weeks from the date of the accident.

Caravan Club is generally regarded as one of the better insurers. Every claim is different, perhaps the op could give us more details as to why they feel CC have treated them this way?

Users do have odd ways of rating insurance co's. For example it does seem strange that a company that requires less security devices should be regarded as 'better'. In the view of most the 'best' insurance is always the cheapest but once a claim is made this opinion often changes.
