Have a look in Aldi, they may still have them in store from last month, we had a 750watt travel kettle from Lidl, which to be fair worked fine, but the Aldi travel kettle is 1100watt so will boil a little quicker, and still only drawing just under 5amp.

The one in the above link, looks great at 1.7lt capacity, as most travel kettle's only seem to be 500ml capacity, which is fine for just us 2.

Although I would guess the 1.7lt kettle is going to take more that 4 times the amount of time to come to the boil, compared to the Aldi 500ml model, unless of course you only part fill the 1.7lt model.
