I'm looking to buy some more of those vacuum bags to put our quilts/pillows in the next time we go camping.

Is it true that the electric pumps can suck the air out? If so, which would be the best one to buy? As i don't fancy taking my hoover camping!

Thank you in advance!

Hi

We use this one and it works really well. We use it for packing to go on holiday as well (so that the bags will end up the same size both ways if you see what I mean).

campingaz quick pump

we have the quick pump which seems to be a rechargeable version of the one above and it will not take a vac bag down anything like the hoover at home will

the one big thing that we found is the valve on the bag is about two inch diameter and the hose on the pump is one inch diameter, so if you could make an addapter thne it may take the vac bags down better

The Coleman does a great job - we've even sucked our (very large) tent canvass into a bag. We use Aldi bags and the sucking inlet on the pump clips directly and very tightly onto the valve on the bag.

We got electic pump from Lidl for £6, and use the vacume bags too, yes its true the pump sucks air out of the bags, which is ideal!

I have the tent carpet in 1, towels and blankets in another, and the duvet in another!!

Its the way forward
