I ordered two of these recently and am very pleased with them. Nice and bright, compact, batteries last ages too. They work out at about £3 each including delivery

We have 4 small ones the we use in the bedrooms and they are fab. Picked them up from Aldi for £3.00. Excellent bit of kit.

We've just got a 24 LED rechargeable lantern, so aiming to test out on our short test camp.

There are lots of cheap battery operated single figure LED lanterns out there, but they don't give off much light, okay I suppose if just want ambient light, but we got a rechargeable so can top up before we go each time without having to carry spare batteries.

We had a rechargable lamp a few years ago, however it didn't give off enough light and it was a pain to have to keep recharging it tbh.

For our main lights we use inspection lamps...We purchased them about 6 years ago and are great as you can use them outside as well as inside.

Something like this

Got mine here http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-1428744-10294381?url=http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/RECHARGABLE+LAMP.htm

Lasts for ages on a single charge and is more than bright enough. Its quite reasonable priced you could buy two.

I got the Ring 300 Cree LED lamp, same as the outwell one but cheaper, and it is fantastic - gives off LOADS of light, battery life is awesome as it is cree LEDs and only has 4 of them, and hangs from the centre of the tent ot illuminate everything just enough on the lower setting and fantastically on the bright setting - I believe Decathlon now stock them
