Would anyone know of an ipad app which would help with getting a good reception on Digital TV, ie something which tells you which direction to point the ariel?
Just look at the wardens office which direction he has his pointed.
Actually its not a bad application as it could use the compass, the mapping and make it a lot easier.
you can use this website http://maps.ofcom.org.uk/localtv/index.html and then point in the direction of the transmitter. There may be a way to view in google maps so you can directly know the direction.
This website will enable you to enter the postcode of the site and it will then produce a map with location of site and transmitter on it to enable you to point aerial accordingly.
If you had an Android Tablet there is an app

Decided to get an android tablet a couple of months ago. All my mates with an Ipad are always jealous what it can do that theirs cant for less than half the price. They are soo much better than being tied to apple, and much more useful apps. freepoint uk

Use sky through your iPad, get apple tv and your sorted. No messing about, obviously you need wifi hotspot on your phone as well.
Other tabet devices running Sky or tv catchup are available or you can run a USB TV stick tuner of an android tablet and you dont even nee to use the internet (or a TV)

Actually just seen this device - wow that is cool this
Its like a wifi hotspot streaming tv. This means that you can stick the device were the stronest signal is and watch in the caravan or tent. There are apps for ipad and android.
