Anybody out there lucky enough to own either a 40L Icey-Tek box or a 23L Yeti Box?

I have just won the competition but don't know anything about them.  I have read the spec but would like comments and advice from people who own them and use them. Which one would you chose and why?

Thanks, Denise

Congratulations! If it was me I'd go for the 40L Icey-Tek purely because a 23L coolbox would be of very little use to us.

Depends on what space you have available too. And how many are camping with you. I have the smaller IceyTek and love it, performance is great - but it takes up lots of room in a fairly small car. My friends had to leave it behind recently as space could not be found in the canal boat. Also I imagine a 40l can be flippin heavy when filled

Thanks for all your advice.  I agree that size and weight might be the biggest consideration.  Any reason why the 23l box is dearer than the 40l one?

Probably just playing on the brand name. However they're both very well regarded in the cooler box market so rather than worrying about "which is best", just go for the size you think would be the most practical for you.

I am thinking the smallest might be best because of the size and weight issue.  Have checked the dimensions and you can stand a bottle of wine upright in the smaller of the cool boxes so that's a good sign :)  It's all about priorities.

I have a 40L iceytek. It is fab. Top spec in terms of performance and it comes in lots of pretty colours <shallow>. I have it in pink. The downside is it is bloody huge but no bigger than the cheapo coolbox plus coolbag we were using previously. And our boot is a relatively decent size so it does fit OK. I have a friend who has the same and on a recent trip to Germany she still had English ice in it at 10 days which is pretty good in my book!

Not seen the Yetis apart from online so can't directly compare though

Still can't make my mind up, I am Bl**** hopeless at making decisions.  Would rather had not been given a choice lol.  I have looked at the spec and read reviews and I am impressed, but I think the size is the issue.  The 40l seems huge but maybe the 23l isn't quite big enough.  I though I could get a bottle of wine in the yeti but I think I was reading the exterior dimesions so it's probably not as big as I thought.
