I just spotted a cool device for those who have tablets, Its like a wifi hotspot streaming tv but it doesnt need internet just the tv signal. This means that you can stick the device were the stronest signal is and watch in the caravan or tent. There are apps for ipad and android to control it.
ideal for camping.
I wouldnt like the idea myself as I go camping to get away from tv etc but the geek in me wants one!this.
They even do a sat one.

That looks like a very neat piece of kit. A pity that it does not have an app for Android tablets. I bet you have to have a good signal as well.

I've got one of these. It works well on my ipad2 but doesn't work on the iPhone 3GS.
The reception is better on this than my separate portable digital tv and powered aerial.
They've now released a new version that plugs directly into the iPad which would be better for power consumption but not so good for placing the aerial for the best signal.
You can also record tv via the app. It has worked well so far.
