having decided to change from our vango aspen, we managed to pick a cabanon athena really cheap (£15), ready for our annual jaunt to whitby. Ive been looking around on ebay for a suitable sun canopy, i bought one last week the seller stated is was bought for an athena but when i received it i bears the label cabanon estelle   will this fit my tent at all or should i stick out for a athena one   many thanks

Lucky13 - sounds like the tent was a bargain!

As for the canopy, my instinct is that it could be a different size (they come from different ranges of Cabanon tents - an 'A' series, and an 'E' series). That said, it might be OK due to the way they fit onto the tent frame with ties. There might be room for a bit of play?

Have you tried putting it up yet and measuring the width of the tent and comparing that to the canopy width?

Take a look at my gallery photo and you'll see how the canopy sits on our Estoril should you need a point of reference (but sounds like you might not ).

Is it the same colour as your tent?

My Athena cost 10 times that, and have been looking for a canopy for the last 10 months with no joy.

If you decide to carry on looking give me a shout, I might have the canopy off you, and get the sewing machine out.

Canopy for the Estelle is royal blue and primary colour of my Athena is green the seller has contacted me and offered a full refund which is decent enough I   will look into it more though to see if I can adapt it if not then will return it
