I'd really appreciate any suggestions, help, personal experience :)

Last year we borrowed a cheapish double airbed from friends, and my wife had some back problems during the week when we camped, so this year I'd really like to surprise her by getting something that she'll sleep better on.

I have done a bit of research, and it seems that the best options (£100 or less) are the Intex Supreme Queen or the Aerobed Platinum.

We have a Outwell Yukon River 6, so I think both would fit in OK.

Fishing Bed Example

What you sleep on is a very personal choice, what one person may find comfortable you may find it’s like sleeping on a pile of bricks.

Aerobed: (active range) seem to get good reviews. The active range has a rechargeable air pump so you can pump the bed up without needing a power supply. I believe they come with a 2 year warranty

Camp Bed/SIM: A camp bed and SIM (self inflating mat) placed on top for extra comfort or just a Camp Bed, self inflating mat (SIM) on their own

Hi,

There are only two brands of airbed worth buying - I would say - and they are both made by the same company.  Go for Coleman or Campingaz.  If you can get the large Coleman one.  We've had ours for years now and only at the end of a week away does it start to leak whereas with most others you'll find yourself topping them up everyday with air and cheaper ones you'll usually find yourself on the floor by the morning.

Daniel.

I cant fault aerobed, we now have 3 of their beds. If we have had a problem they have exchanged them without hesitation even last year when it was so hot in the tent the bed expanded and shot the insides. It ballooned because of expanding but they exchanged it again no problem.
