I am planning on getting a Cadac Carri Chef Deluxe to use alongside a Campingaz Camping Chef. I plan to run them both of a Campingaz 907 bottle with a 3 way connector. Is this a practical set up and will the gas supply be sufficient to run both at the same time.

we do the same with our Cadac Safari and Campingaz Chef, we run a gas fridge also. We use propane, but only 'cos that's what we had!

Possible is one thing but is it the most workable method ?

We decided to do the Cadac and the 2 ring cooker with grill from the same gas bottle by using two regulators and moving the bottle. Well after our first week away like this we found that when I am outside cooking something on the Cadac she might want to use the cooker inside to .....boil some potatoes or the like ! After food outside we might want a cupper ....... the 2 burner is easier to boil the kettle ......

We are soon to get a second cylinder, one for the Cadac outside, and a similar for inside so if we run out  we can always swap .

It is possible, I would also get a one way valve so ou can use just one at a time also. So both can be used independently.

We used to have a small gas BBQ and the Camping Gaz twin burner stove and ran them off the same 7.5 kg Calor Gas cylinder. However we have now ditched the BBQ and bought a CADAC Carri Chef DL. Originally we were going to run both off one cylinder as per previous practise. However my thoughts were similar to Old Grey's so we decided to try and get another 7.5 Calor. Fortunately my OH spotted one sitting in my neighbour's garage gathering dust and covered in cobwebs. So he asked if he could have it. The neighbour just told him to take it as he had never used it.
Included was a reg with contents gauge. Take it from me it's a lot easier with two cylinders it's so much easier.

there is no reason to have two cylinders at all, with one of these and two of these plus about 4 meters of this you can have your cooker inside and your bbq outside.

This is a short copy/paste from the Calor Gas PDF technical publication on using gas safely in your caravan/home etc

Flexible Hoses

Use only marked and certified hoses BS3212 or BSEN1763 and which bear the year and name of

the manufacturer and clips as LPG attacks and erodes natural rubber. Keep hose lengths as short

as possible and less than 2 meters in length. All flexible hoses must be secured with proper hose

clips. Make sure that the hoses are kept clear of ‘hot spots’ and inspect them from time to time.

Replace any hose that shows signs of wear or damage.

For Touring Caravans and Motor Homes, in 2003 BS EN 1949 was introduced which requires the

hose between the cylinder and regulator to be no longer than 450mm
