Would This be OK on EHU & has anyone got one or similar, we currently use an Ezetil 70 odd litre cooler box but it keeps melting the 12v plug so decided it was time for a change, dont like the 3 ways as the usable space of the units are a joke. Any thought please. Oh an added bonus of ice for long cold G&Ts if we ever get any sun.
We have been using one for the last couple of years with no problems, they don`t use a great deal of power so won`t trip out.Take a wooden board to stand it on to keep it level.
Griff yours actually has less space But what you have is more usable if you see what I mean, but I still think for the overall size of a combi there is little usable space, there again Im used to being shot down & proven wrong, Im married.
That was the reason we changed..more usable and although slightly smaller than the one you are considering we find we can get more in the one we now have.
We also find it far easier to get things in and out as you don`t have to have it at table height because the lid lifts up.
It is a personal choice and the one in your post did us well, catering for 4.
Got one of these myself, best thing I ever brought. Just a tip though, don't carry it in your trailer, stick it in your car. The bouncing arround can mess up the refrigerant. Best to leave it to settle down a while when you arrive on site.
When I turn mine down to the coldest setting, I get Ice crystals in my wine/beer - even in the main compartment.
Mmmmmmmm cold beer!!!!
------------- Talking to myself is sometimes the only intelligent conversation I get!
I bought one last year - I use it in the trailer tent then put it in the awning on my seasonal pitch (caravan) for extra storage. Oh, and then I take it home and put it in the conservatory for extra fridge space at Christmas.
I bought one of these two years ago and it has been a fantastic purchase. I keep mine up on an IKEA table when camping that I got for 5 pounds and its a lovely height so no back problems - it stores loads of food/liquids and everything is easy access. The one downside is that its heavy (I'm a lightweight female) and quite bulky in the boot of the car (it takes up about one-third of my golf-estate boot size).
For this reason I decided to buy a coolbox (top-lid) this year for short camp trips, but I must say that I really don't like it because the food I want to get at somehow always seems to be at the bottom of the fridge and I'm always rummaging around and emptying out the top contents to get to the things down below ... hate that. An open-door fridge like you have in mind means you don't have this issue.
