Hi. Anyone got a recommendation for a chair for someone with a back problem? I've yet to find one that offers any lower back support. Cheers.

I think you need to find somewhere that stocks lots of different ones and try them out. Chairs are a very personal thing comfort wise.

The Outwell Black Hills has lower back support but as sunnycharlie said it would probably be better to try before you buy

I must admit I suffer from a bad back, but find it eased if I put a cushion behind my lower back, which, when we go camping, I put my pillow to good use and use that folded in half, space saving too !

My hubby has a bad back and finds the moon chairs quite comfy. As others have said it would be best to go somewhere where there are chairs on display for you to test out

Hi Bongo girls... I broke my back in a road accident ( now very much on the mend )and have trouble with finding comfortable chairs ever since. Eventually like other posts suggested I tried loads of different ones and settled on the Hi Gear Vermont, and have never regretted it. You can get them in just the high back version or with the leg extension, both styles recline. My only issue was they only had them in green atthe time lol but the comfort was far more important than the colour, they are a bit big for stowing in the car to be honest but needs must. I have been known to use it in the house before now !

Thank you everyone. I have been to numerous camping shops and sat on a lot of chairs.I will carry on sitting until I get it right! I shall go and have at your suggestions, cheers!

I can recommend gelert beyond Jupiter chairs quite firm and sturdy with option to recline

If you have the space in your car then you can buy n orthopaedic lumber support which fits on any chair, even a car seat, and provides full support and relief to the user. I have recently bought one for my Dad who suffers from arthritis in his spine.

Theyre not cheap, I paid around £70 for mine, but they are light and very portable, so easy to use around the house or to take out visiting with you. I bought mine from a local mobility shop, but im sure they would be available on line as well.
