I am always looking . It's like a mission I set my mind on something then go on a hunt . You can usually find what ever you want in time.
I love looking in charity shops but the OH just stands outside and waits.
I'm thinking of doing a bit of backpacking in future....A bit concerned about insulation between the ground and me...as I sleep on a camp bed when off normally
The other week I was in a charity shop and saw one of those insulated windscreen covers that motor homes put up for privacy...Thought to myself "That will do for between the SIM and the camping mat" Folds down really small..and is light weight....Cost....75p....Bargain!!!!

Ive had some great bargains from charity shops, ( i must be lucky cos my OH comes in and has a route too)
bargains include
great melamine tableware
folding chairs
great selection of books (essential kit item)
older type sun lounger cushions, its a thin fold down type, great for the kids to sit on
fold down table
various utensils and cutlery, many smaller sizes, easier to pack
the list goes on and you know that somewhere ,someone less well off than you, is benefitting from your purchase.
(we even tour the charity shops when were out on a camping trip, we have to its a legal requirement,
WOW! the tents a stunner!! forgot to mention the British-made Morphy Richards travel kettle (few squid) and a still boxed set of Swan stainless steel cutlery ideal handle profile to pack into our bacon box!
