Hi all..

What is the best cooker you have used whilst camping?

We have a small Outwell single burner which runs off a canister, it does pretty well but is very basic. I take this with me on nights out in the wagon, where it is ideal.

We are looking to upgrade now, and would welcome any advice you can offer please. There is only me and Wendy, no kids to cater for!

One of these. Would never camp without it. Even bought a second one as back up just incase the first one goes belly up.Weve cooked everything on it from normal bbq stuff to pizzas,we even cooked a full leg of lamb with roast spuds on one trip.

I swear by my Coleman Dual Fuel 2-burner stove, as allows me use it at sub-zero temperatures in the winter, when pressurised gas canisters and bottles are ineffective due to reduced gas pressure.

I've been using a campingaz double burner and grill for a few years. Its done me proud over this time and with the new slim down model i will be tempted to trade mine in for this one. I use campingaz, but i think you can use different types you just need the right regulator, the carrycase also makes it ideal for camping

Like DK, I swear by My Duel Fuel Coleman, Except mine is a 3 Burner version. Pretty much for the Same Reasons, ie you can cook with it in Cooler temperatures, and it is more efficient, ie gives out more heat.

I am so Lucky I only paid £30 for it on Ebay.

I am In the process of Sourcing the Oven to go with it, unfortunately they are only available in the US. Just need to get it shipped to the UK. Amazon.com did, but by the time I convinced my self it was a good Idea, they stopped :-(

Best Regards
Nathan

We've recently invested in a Cobb (after all the great reviews on here). It is so good we have also used it at home instead of the bbq. They are not cheap and they cook slowly but the results are fantastic. On our last camp trip it was just great to put the food on and leave it and relax with a drink while it cooked away.

Cadac Carri Chef Delux, the swiss army knife of outdoor cooking !

Not a BBQ , no coals required , only your ability will be the limit.

Camping Gaz double burner with grill
Camping Gaz Party Grill
and a Gas Barbecue from Go Outdoors

All three on the go produced not only a large Barbecue platter on Friday night but also a full English breakfast for 14 people last Saturday morning whilst camping in Ashbourne.

Wouldn't do without any of them.

I am currently of the belief that a Cobb and a double gas hob and grill offer you the ability to cook virtually anything.
