We bought this roofbox a couple of months ago. I'm not sure how big a Citroen C3 is but the roofbox easily fits on our Golf which is a medium sized car. We only have 2 bars on our car and the box screws in place using U shaped bolts which go underneath the bar and fix in place on the inside of the box. Sorry I can't think of a better way to describe this but anyway my point is that you only need 2 bars. It's the only roofbox we've ever had so I can't compare with any others but we have no complaints with ours. It's sometimes a bit tricky to lock but I think that's down to the amount we try to cram in it.
