Hi everyone,

I'm in search of some advice, we are looking for some good lighting for inside the trailer tent that runs off electric but safe (obviously..)

we have normal lanterns at the moment but without having maybe a dozen going at the same time its just not bright enough,

not that we require airport landing strip bightness..lol.

Especially with a 3yr old wanting to play ect, i was thinking some sort of strip light to fasten to center bar on roof,

thanks

I recently made a dimable light for my tent, parts cost about £18 it gives a lovely Glow and can go from the Glow of a nightlight to almost LightHouse brightness of 150watt!.

P arts as below.

Ali BulkHead fitting with PolyCarbonate lense £4 from CPC.

Inline dimmer switch rotory control £10 new from EBay.

Inline single pole rocker switch £1 from CPC.

Halogen Bulb std BC fitting 100watt looks like a regular bulb but gives out 150watt of brightness £1.20 from CPC.

7 metres of twin cable £1 already had real of cable in garage.

Plastic pipe clips 22mm so that lamp clips tightly to my 23mm poles.

We carry a couple of Clear Rough Service 100watt BC old school bulbs as spares, bought a pack of 10 of EBay, strange how shops are no longer allowed to sell 100watt bulbs anymore, but yet they can. On the Internet.

Sure I've posted this before...
we have a Kampa Sabre 150 LED

it runs off 240 or 12 volt. Fabulously bright light!

We use the clip-on bulb holders with low energy bulbs. Available in most bargain shops, and I think Asda do them too, around £2.50-£3.00 each.
