I was just going to ask the very same question. I know the Cadac Safari can be run off a gas point but can a mini?

This is something I tried to find information about a short while ago (on here):-

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=6&TopicID=289899&PagePosition=1

The HP ones (with cartridges) sold in Tesco (we got one) & the Safari Chef (same but with extras) appear only to work off these cartridges. The LP version can be run off bottled gas or cartridges (if using a regulator).

There was a chap on eBay flogging some pipe with an EN417 connection to a regulator to connect to butane bottles. I asked him if it would work with my equipment. He said that if you use a full-bore or variable regulator, it should work: he'd use them with ceramic heaters.

I've not tried any of this yet and wouldn't without additional information.

Thanks for that I have just bought a Cadac Safari LP although I haven't used it yet but it looks good. It did cost me £65 in the end as Tesco could not deliver till first week in June at which time we will be in France.
