I don't know what Vango carpets you've seen, unless Vango have also followed Outwell in going for more compact carpets. Our 2009 Vango Columbia carpet is much thicker than any of the other camping carpets I've seen over the last 3 years (including Outwell), with an incredibly thick layer of foam inside.  It is very bulky packed though - which is why when we go camping for a weekend, I'm glad we have a Kampa tent as the carpets are the size of picnic blankets, soft but far more compact for packing. I bought a Gelert carpet for our Vango Kairos as I wanted to leave wet zones by the doors and a more compact carpet for touring. Its still bulkier than our Kampa carpet when packed though...

I've just ordered a 2012 Wolf Lake 7 and a carpet. Is it across the whole 2012 range, do you think? We have an Oakland XL 2011 and the carpet is fine.

Not knowing what the Outwell carpets were like before 2012, I would say the carpets of 2012 were better then no carpet but they are not worth more then £60. We did pay £80 for ours but it was not till months later I found out about the lower quality.

You look at most carpets though, no better then a blanket with pvc backing. THe 2013 carpets have a new design (grey with the Outwell logo) however looking at the Montana 6P 2013 video it looks the same other then design.
